When people learn about and experience the natural world, they begin to take steps to conserve it.

These values have been central to sustainability projects at Christmount, including building energy efficiency upgrades,

onsite solar modules, and the managing of recycling and

food waste systems.

Sustainable land management has centered on hemlock care,

non-native invasive species treatment, trail restoration, and stream bank repair.

Progress with certifications including Green Chalice and National Wildlife Federation Certified Habitat connect our work with national and international sustainability initiatives.
