Camp Sunshine Volunteers
(for high school students, college students, and adults)
Camp Sunshine is a program for high-functioning campers with intellectual disabilities, such as Down Syndrome. Campers must be able to take care of their personal hygiene: dressing, showering, going to the restroom.
Camp Sunshine is staffed with a Director and 5-6 trained staff members. In order to maintain a camper-to-counselor ratio of at least 3:1, Christmount needs volunteers (high school students, college students, and adults). It is fun, personally rewarding, and can be demanding work.
Camp Sunshine Camps:
Week 1: May 20-24 (ages 18+)
Week 2: May 27-31 (ages 18+)
Week 3 (Day Camp): June 3-7 (ages 18+)
