Personal Spiritual Retreats at Christmount
Christmount offers to both clergy and laity a place to be away from busy schedules, telephones calls, and all the things that would drag us away from our relationship with God.
Frequently, people call and ask us if they can
just come and "be" for a few days. Others ask, "Is there anything of a
spiritual nature going on there? Any spirituality programs, something like that?"
A private retreat can be daunting if you have never done one before. Here is a

Help with planning Prayer times, suggestions for reading, and other help with
your retreat can be arranged with Rev. Jamie Brame, Church Relations Director,
who has been taking personal retreats and planning them for individuals, groups
and churches for over 30 years.
Christmount is the perfect place for this kind of self-guided retreat.
Especially during winter and spring weekdays, Christmount offers a peaceful atmosphere for the person who needs solitude and quiet. Although no meals are served when groups arent here, Black Mountain is only 5 minutes away, with over 20 restaurants, from fast food to vegetarian to seafood, Italian, Greek, German, Chinese, Japanese, and even a few upscale restaurants.
For those seeking guided retreats, Rev. Jamie Brame, Christmounts Church Relations Director, has a special interest in traditional Christian spirituality as well as some alternative approaches to prayer and meditation. There are also certified spiritual directors in the area who can talk with you if you would like more in-depth guidance.
Cost for this kind of retreat is just the nightly cost of a single room. Weekday prices are lower from December through April.
If youre looking for peace, solitude, silence, a time apart for you with God, consider a private retreat at Christmount.
