This camp is just for girls! Its a four-day experience that focuses on girls becoming young teens.

First Aid: Christmount Camp Staff is certified by the Red Cross in First Aid and CPR. They are trained to care for campers in
appropriate and sensitive ways.
PARENTS/GUARDIANS: This camp depends on every camper being here for the entire week. Camp is
a special environment in which the camper bonds with a group for a few days and offers
something unique to that group. If campers are constantly being interrupted with visits
from family and friends or making phone calls home, the spirit of camp is destroyed.
Campers do not generally make phone calls, unless there is an
emergency. However, with Middle School Girls Camp, we do allow a brief
5-minute phone
call home on Wednesday evening. If you need to talk to the Director of the camp during the week, please call the Christmount office and your call will be returned
as soon as the Director has free time to call you back.
The nature of this camp being all women is that the girls
often feel free to discuss things they would not normally talk about with males
present.
Christmount's counselors are trained to be sensitive but also try to deal with
these issues honestly and without the social stigma that these things sometimes
carry.
Christmount tries to offer a place for these girls to discuss these issues
maturely and seriously rather than frivolous and do not
allow girls to make fun of each other. Some of the topics
that are typically discussed include prayer and spirituality, Christian understandings of sexuality
and dating, physical changes/body issues, peer
pressure and how to deal with it, and other relevant issues. Counselors are trained to be
especially sensitive to possibly volatile issues involving human sexuality.
Christmounts staff, while providing Christian examples and values for the campers, will not try to convert your
child to a particular point of view or religious organization. Our purpose is to offer to
campers a safe place to explore their own values and understanding of the world in which
they live while offering examples to help their decision-making skills. Worship/devotional
time is general in nature and does not seek to be a platform for one particular Christian
viewpoint.
Christmount camps are open to all, regardless of race, nationality, and religion, in accordance with Christian values
and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The only restrictions are those pertaining to age or to
the physical requirements of a particular camp.
